AC not producing ice cold ac?

You're probably better off just telling them the symptoms and letting them do the diagnosis. I have found that most technicians don't like to be told what the problem is by a customer... when that happens they tend to check only the one thing the customer suggests and not go the extra distance to find possible other causes. If you tell them that it blows warm air intermittently and doesn't seem to get cold enough for hot days then they will check levels but they'll also check other things like pressures, compressor clutch, etc.

My opinion is maybe find a good ac guy, lots of good ones out there. I want to tell you I have a 98 Camaro sitting in my driveway with 102k, ac is ice cold even on the hottest days.<If you can't get that let me know and I'll try to walk you through a complete rebuild that will not only be ice cold but lasts. The critical thing on these 4th gens are the compressors, If the throttle valve is not operating properly it will NEVER be cold. Another biggie is if there is any moisture in the system AND too much oil.

If they are reputable then go back and tell um to repair the AC properly. I'm not sure what you want after everything said above? Personally I've had my share of bad luck even with reputable shops. Todays standards of professionalism are non existent. Anyone can open a shop with out any real experience and take your money. Go back, find another shop OR fix it yourself. All your choice dood.
