Floods/won't crank I have a 1988 Chev Celebrity 2.8L that floods/stalls/won't crank once it warms up and runs for a few moments. I have replaced the MAS and checked for spark and fuel pump is working.
Is the SES aka service engine soon light on? If so you can get an error code that code than might help. I don't recall the procedure exactly using the ALDL port. You jumper the pins and the SES light flashes. You have to count the flashes.

The 2.8 in an 88 Celebrity isn't related to the 97 and up LS engines so it may be hard to find someone with knowledge about the 2.8 from thirty years ago.
On ThirdGen.org or http://www.thirdgen.org there is probably a better chance of finding a knowledge person since the mid 80's v6 Camaro and Firebird had basically the same engine.
