Default gauge cluster woes

bought a new car. the cluster has some issues. 2000 camaro LS1 car

1)ASR off is very dim, BRAKE is virtually not visible unless its pitch black, and even then its tough
2)to the right of all that, the 0-1200 of the RPMs is dim, looks to be a bulb missing
3)another dead/dim bulb over by the fuel gauge and 150 mph
4)fuel gauge on my other 2000 begins to fall past F after 50-60 miles, this new 2000 falls past after about 10 despite pegging 2 needle widths past, get down to 3/8 and it takes 9 gallons, i believe my current 2000 is about 12-13 at this point (i know 2 different cars and setups but still doesnt seem right....could be float but decided to add)
5)the entire backlight on the cluster is noticeable more dim than my 2000, very noticable

of course, the old owner didn't notice

As far as the lights being dim I know my current fbody which is a 01 the dash was dimmer then my other f-body which was a 98 so I swapped all the bulbs for leds. As far as the gas gauge like you said I would suspect maybe the float, I know I was having issues with the gas gauge on my car going haywire so I ended up replacing the pump which of course came with a new sending unit and now it works fine. Don't know if that would help though since it just seems to be reading a little off.

what I meant by my post has nothing to do with the year of the vehicle, the cluster just takes regular 194 bulbs which over time can blow out or dim. When I got my car I had a blown bulb and like 1 or 2 dim bulbs so I just swapped in leds and its much better.
