Default 2002 ws6 ls1 rough engine

My engine is rough around at 1000rpm, car shakes. The idle seems ok and high rpm seems ok, maybe its rough, hard to tell. Any thoughts?

There's a lot of things that it could be. Is it missing? Do you have a CEL on?

Check for a code. If it is shaking the car there is probably a code stored, I would be surprised if there wasn't.

It has the P0420, has had it for years. Shake is new.

With the engine running disconnect one plug wire at a time. If it gets worse when you disconnect a wire then plug it back in and move to the next one. If you happen to disconnect a wire and there is no change most likely that is your culprit. It really could be a number of things such as faulty plugs, faulty wires, arcing, bad engine coil, clogged injectors, bad sensors, vacuum leaks. These are just to name some likely culprits but it could be more serious such as a weak cylinder. Good luck with your search!
