The system is under pressure so be careful or you will have that **** all over the place. Wear safety googles get plenty of shop towels around the area of the compressor and take a pair of snap ring pliers and remover the snap ring. The carefully pry the part out of the compressor and when it gives way its going to make a mess. There's some four to five O rings on that part that pops out that will have to be replaced.
You could also remove the compressor from the car and take it to the work bench but again the stuff is under pressure so pay attention. That green colored oil will look white when it goes flying all over the place. Don't ask me how I know!

Verdad Gallardo It can definitely be a leaking compressor. They do look like that. The weeping water pump looks the same and for people running green coolant, this can be a nightmare unless more tests are done.
Also you're telling the OP to open up a pressurized AC system...not only is that dangerous it's illegal to vent Freon to the atmosphere. Now are you going to get caught, most likely not, but there's a good chance you get covered in dye and a very real possibility of frostbite type burns from the escaping refrigerant. OP if you wan't to fix it your self get the system evacuated, pull the valve and replace, or R&R the compressor. Seal it all up and then have the system put back into a vacuum to boil out any moisture that will get in while the system is open, as well as checks for leaks before adding Freon and oil, then while it's in a vacuum you can add or have the system charged to the proper levels.
