Drain rack, pump and lines, take low and high side lines and connect them, remove pump and reservoir, complete.

Did you do any other mods to your steering other than just looping the rack? Just wondering if its added any wear to the tilt steering? I ask because I had an 81 Z28 years ago that the power steering pump went out and I just drove it around manually. It ended up wearing out the tilt steering and I had to rebuild the steering column.
