PCM cover Hallo to all!
I've a '99 Camaro and I'm asking to myself it a PCM cover is better or worse.
The PCM comes outside from GM without nothing upon it.
I've sealed in a perfect way my cowl cover so the PCM is more protected from rain but there is some PCM cover on E-bay like this one.
I' think it is better because is more protected from dust, rain (that don't comes on it) and other things, but, on the other side, I think the PCM need to take air and to have a "fresh" place so is not good idea cover it with a metal laminate.
Someone of you have a PCM cover?
What do you think about it??

The wiring harness connects to the PCM with a weather tight seal (a seal which is recommended to be replaced any time the wiring harness is disconnected, but I'm not sure how many folks actually do this), so unless the seal is compromised there is no need for a cover. If you have ever disconnected the PCM, you could replace the seal (as recommended) for good measure. Beyond that, any sort of cover would be purely for cosmetics - no extra protection is needed (like you mentioned, these cars come from the factory without any sort of PCM cover, and it's not a problem).
