The relays in your car are about 18 years old so yes, it does make sense that they could be failing. Try swapping the starter and ignition relays. If you start having trouble cranking rather than running then you'll know the relay was a problem.

Thanks WhiteBird.I’ll give it a try.Makes since and may tell me for sure it’s the relay.Since these relays are the same I’m gonna buy a extra just in case,as you state,it fails to turn over I won’t get stranded.

Well after swapping starter and ignition relays it finally happened.It would not crank/turn over.Replaced the starter relay and hopefully put this to rest.Thanks to all who posted.If it raises it’s ugly head again i’ll be sure and post.
