Default Hard start after initial start

Hey guys just had my car finished after heads, cam, intake, fuel pump, injectors etc.. Im having an issue with it not starting every once in a while. Sometimes it starts up fine other times it does what its doing in the video. Initially it was tuned by a mail order tune so i thought this might be the issue however i just had it dyno tuned and they started with a fresh tune and it still does it so im not sure whats going on. On cold starts it fires right up without an issue

Update: Took her back in to clean up the tune and she fires up perfect now. Too easy!

Do you have HPT and can log it? It could be a couple different things. Initial startup airflow, cranking fuel vs temp table.

What injectors are you using?

I dont have HPT. Using FAST 36lb injectors

Have you checked out the fuel pressure at the rail? It could be a handful of issues, but I've seen many hard start issues caused by the fuel system not building/maintaining pressure when warm.

If it was fuel pressure why would it hold when its cold and start fine in the morning but not after warm? I've tried cycling the key a few times to see if it helps but it doesnt. It doesnt do it all the time, just when it wants to it seems like. Its hit or miss.

Update: I parked my car at work this morning, went and started it up after sitting for ~6 hours or so and it fired right up, drove it about 0.2 miles and parked it, went inside for about an hour, came back out and it started acting up again like in the video, took about 5 tries to get it to start. Fuel pressure is on my list of things to check.

It could be the injectors, I don't personally care for FAST injectors....

It could be the exhaust is sitting right next to a fuel line and boiling the fuel after it sits for a while.

Mine was doing that ... and it turned out to be a vacuum leak where the PCV goes into the intake; Actually the short hose that runs from the hard plastic to the PCV.

Mine was caused by a bad fuel regulator not holding pressure after motor is off.

It's not going to hold pressure overnight, only 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours.

tune and/or injectors.

Until you can log it and do some actual testing, well it's just conjuncture and you aren't actually doing anything.

So i had the fuel pressure checked today and there was no drop in psi. Im starting to think maybe it is just in the tune.

Might be worth buying some GTP 42# injectors on the cheap and see if that helps.
