Key fob
Is something bad?
I'm tired of open and close the car manually when it has factory alarm and power locks.
. Turn ignition off. Remove RADIO (fuse No.17) from fuse block. Cycle ignition switch from OFF to RUN positions 3 times within 5 seconds until doorlocks and hatch release cycles, indicating Body Control Module (BCM) is in programming mode. Leave ignition switch in RUN position.
2. Press both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on remote control door lock transmitter for 16seoncds. Doorlocks will cycle once, confirming transmitter code is programmed. Doorlocks must cycle completely to unlock before proceeding. Any transmitter code that was previously programmed has been erased. BCM is now programmed to remote control door lock transmitter.

When I bought my car in about 2017, I programmed the keyfobs by doing the whole thing of taking the radio fuse out, etc. The keyfobs worked great.
I just recently had my car repainted, new carpet and upholstery. Before I took my car in, the keyfob was working slowly. I had to hold the unlock button down longer than I had before. The car sat in the paint shop for several weeks and since I've gotten it back the keyfob does not work.
The SECURITY light is on and I'm not sure why and/or if that is effecting the keyfob. I can't cancel the security light with my OBD-II port reader. The keyfob doesn't work at all now. I've tried two new batteries and they have voltage but they haven't helped. I've tried to program the keyfobs by taking the radio fuse out, etc., but it doesn't work. Do any of you have any ideas what might be going on. Could it have somethiing to do with the SECURITY light being on? Do any of you know how I can cancel the SECURITY light?
