Possible to Perform leakdown Test With Headers On?
I am performing a leakdown test on my engine to determine if I have a blown headgasket or cracked head. This is part of tracking down a stubborn issue with my cooling system. I want to rule out the causes I just mentioned.
Is anyone able to confirm or deny whether it is possible to perform a leakdown test on an LT1 Firebird with the headers installed? Access is proving to be very challenging, especially on cylinder #5. I just don't see a way to get the tester's hose threaded into the spark plug hole. The passenger side is even tighter. I have been trying to find creative solutions and working patiently, but I don't want to waste my time if folks who have done this before just tell me "hey, it's not possible to do this without moving the headers out of the way."
