Painted Intake I bought a used intake that was painted. Its a stock LS6 intake, the paint doesn't look horrible but it has a shine that I'm not crazy over. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove the paint without making a total mess?

On the car or off of it? It's going to be a mess regardless, you can blast it, sand it, or maybe dissolve it with aircraft paint remover (might not too since it may eat the plastic, you'll have to google that) and hose off the mess then let it dry.
take it to a local machine shop and have it hot tanked - that will strip it of everything and will leave you a nice paintable surface. use a high temp paint - or have it powder coated
