Default pcv rubber boot

The rubber boot around my pcv valve disintegrated. Is there anybody that sells just that piece? I've looked all over and cant seem to find it.

Thanks

This part is (or was) only available from GM as part of the entire PCV system, it wasn't sold separately in the past and, to the best of my knowledge, isn't sold that way today. Last time I needed this was like ~10 years ago and it was over $100 from GM at that time. Not sure what it cost today, or if it's even still available.

GM still makes the ENTIRE hose system.....not cheap.....what you cant see is the rest of the hose behind the mani that has also disintegrated causing you a nice vacuum leak ....but what you really need is a LS6 valley cover conversion.....do it and thank me later

I see from google you can get cheap china knock offs now.....

The boot is usually the first thing to go. When my '02 had that issue, the rest of the system was perfectly fine other than the cracked boot. I bought the whole assembly from GM figuring I would need it eventually, swapped out the boot and waited to see, but nothing else in the system had failed by the time I sold the car several years later. Good to know they still make it, I haven't checked on this part in quite some time and don't have the number handy.

Do the china repros offer just the boot, or do you still have to buy the whole thing like from GM?

The part on mine that I recently discovered was broken is the short 4 inch peice where it goes into the throttle body and I couldn't find just that short peice anywhere, so I ordered the whole assembly from Summit. Been on back order for about a month which is no big deal since I am not experiencing any problems due to the break. But these parts are getting harder to find.

when I did my LS6 mani swap I found where the junction for the 2 hoses just rots to death....you will never know unless you look back there
the china knock offs are the complete hose assm
ebay has the GM hose assm

When mine disintegrated, I made my own using a small section of 5/8" hose and some black silicone gasket maker. The 3/8" OD hose fits snugly into the 5/8" ID and seals with the silicone. The PCV fits perfectly into the other side of the 5/8" and the aluminum retaining clip wraps around it.

But I also bought the full replacement kit some years ago for when the hoses out back go, being concerned that when they do, the part would have previously been discontinued.

Dorman 46036 will actually work for this. Its almost a copy with a 45° bend on the end of the boot instead of straight. Still better than paying for the whole setup just for a dam boot!!!
