I appreciate that. I've always had a philosophy, if something breaks, it's time for an upgrade. In other words, let's make it faster so we're already gonna be there!

I dropped off the TA yesterday and based on the symptoms, we're just going to yank the engine and go from there. First thing to note is a head gasket issue as it was milky under the oil cap. I've noticed that the last month or so. I also sent them the build sheet from the work that was done a few years ago. Shop asked if I were open to crate engine - which I am. Ongoing.

I think I'm going to up my budget on this while the shop has the TA.

Any recommendations on "power adders?" It is a daily driver.....

Here is what the shop has to say yesterday. I'm not surprised!

REMOVE ENGINE / LEAK TEST -Found the Intake and the Exhaust ports on the cylinder heads are coated in oil, Advising heads to be sent to machine shop to be pressure tested, and decked due to head gasket issue. Valves on cylinder head coated in carbon/oil build up, valve stem seals and all basic seals in and around engine should be replaced. Cylinder # 4 and #5 didnt pass a Leak Down Test falling shy at 75-80% compared to Others at 93%+. Will recommend rings based off of condition of the heads with oil build up and possible blow by

I'm presently building a new engine to compliment my Huronspeed turbo kit. Their quality is excellent and their customer service is as well. For example: I found that with my Formula bumper, the BOV outlet would interfere with my turn signal indent in my bumper. I contacted Jon and they made me a new pipe with a location to my specs AND had it powdercoated to match the rest of my kit. For FREE. I'd check them out if you're serious about the power adder route.

Just to update the thread - I got the car back a few days ago and the engine seems solid and it's not smoking so here's hoping. A couple of things I'm not happy about is my catch can didn't come back to me and it has a PO102 code.
I drove it today and logged it and noticed that the tcc unlock was happening when I merely let off of the gas at like 70 mph. It would lock and unlock by simply touching the throttle. It should not have released until 60 MPH at 50% throttle. I checked the transmission fluid and it was good. What else could cause that?

I went ahead and flashed an SD tune and will drive and log tomorrow. It also has a PO103 now with the SD tune.
