Default Crank wont start

This is killing me I just took apart my motor do do head gaskets and now the car will not start! Had a buddy said it sounds like it’s out of timing.
here’s the stats
ECT - 73 degrees
Spark while cranking - 13 degrees
It is getting camshaft signal
its getting fuel as you can see it on the plugs
it’s getting spark
it has compression
Im lost here and I need to daily this thing…
all the grounds are connected and solid and everything is plugged in.
im absolutely lost here.

Do you have the coils hooked up correctly? What kind of engine/car is this?

We have many threads, depending on the engine, which outline the color coding of the wires for each cylinder. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ck-wiring.html

I have a 1998 Pontiac Trans am
LS1
4 speed automatic
Motor is bone stock to my knowledge and mileage is supposedly 110k(doesn’t display)

I’ve verified fuel pressure while cranking and it’s got plenty( I didn’t get a number but it shot out far)

I’ve verified it has spark in at least cylinder number 1

Verified all of my connections are solid and all of my grounds are good

is it possible that the motor could have “jumped timing” or could I have incorrectly seated the pushrods and rockers on reinstallation?

Tonight I am going to do a compression test on the motor

It is possible to put the coils back on the engine in the wrong places or plug the wrong wires into the coils. (People do this all the time.) If it sounds like your timing is off, this is what I would check first. The wires to each coil have a unique colored wire that you can use to match up the cylinder number.

Read through towards the end of the thread for info on the 1998 odometer bulb: https://ls1tech.com/forums/wiring-st...ter-light.html

now your issue may not be the same as mine but I replaced the cam shaft and throttle position sensor. Have you verified injector pulse and spark? If so how about compression?
if you have all that have someone listen at the air box while cranking and you may hear air coming out of the intake which I did. In the case that you change your cam sensor it’s recommended yi change your crank as well. That’s located behind the started.

Well here’s the the thing nearly everything is new, blew up my 5.3 in my truck so we swapped in the ls1. I’m getting fuel and spark the only used part is injectors and intake everything else is new (other than harness)

If your using a stock intake with the fuel rail on top, when cranking have someone push the Schrader valve in.
Use a noid light to verify injector pulse and have someone hold your plug and wire to the head.
I recommend doing a compression test while your at it.
If you have a scanner that’s higher tech, check out all the live data logs.
Spark advance
cam input
spark retard
throttle position angle
MaF and MAP sensor reading and 02 sensor readings.
