Default Air conditioner help

I found an ac leak on the accumulator hose connection, replaced the washer/seal hoping that would fix it but no luck. So, I went ahead and purchased a new accumulator, thinking maybe there was a crack or scratch or something on the mating surface. Installed the accumulator and a new washer. Pulled a vacuum but it doesn't hold a vacuum. When I wiggle the joint it loses pressure quicker. Any suggestions would help greatly.

Is there supposed to be an O-ring sealing that connection?

When I took it apart there was one there, I replaced it with the same size. If there shouldn't be one there then that would explain things but I haven't tried it without an o-ring on it.

Just have to keep trying to reseal it with AC o-rings usually green ones, the auto part stores sell an assorted little baggy of them 10$ that will have a couple of the correct size, keep attempting, lube them up a bit and when you get the vacuum to hold them u can charge

That connection uses whats called a captured oring. Same baggies mentioned above but it's fatter oring compared to the others.
