Default Parts vendor question

Curious as to what vendor you rely on for replacement parts when it comes to simple things like thermostats, water necks, PCV valves, just general replacement parts that you would get at your local parts stores.
Do you have a specific brand that you rely on? A certain go-to that you think is the most reliable?

I normally reach out with genuine GM replacement or AC Delco, but sometimes I like to see if I can save some money if when I can. I normally go with OEM when it comes to sensors.
I know Dorman is a decent brand on certain items, but I'd like to hear from you guys what you think.

One specific part I'm going to be obtaining here shortly is the idler pulley for my serpentine belt setup. If I were to go with the genuine GM part, it's around $50 (or more). But if I go with the replacement brand, they look to be around half that. That's why I ask.

Thanks in advance
