sawedoff, read my post and I explained what is wrong with the OEMs, way too much money for plugs with known quality control problems(not as installed new but when bought as replacement). Many of us gearheads will spend $1.75 apiece on plugs we have to change say yearly at most as compared to $8 apiece on plugs that theoretically can stay in much much longer but some have had troubles with. I don't mind working on my car and I can change the plugs every year for 4 years before the cost approaches that of doing OEMs once. Plus plug access is much easier on the b-body I can see the side of my motor, maybe that plays into why I am willing to do the work. As for Delco copper plugs I could not even begin to tell you what plug to use, try just once to get a part number for a non-platinum plug for an LT1, and I have found the crossreference charts the plug makers have to be loose guidelines at best. Had more than one engine detonate when I tried crossreferenceing numbers.

I got my NGKs for less than the A/C Delco plugs cost.. thats the only reason I went with them.

Has anybody ever changed plugs in an hour and 10 minutes, or I am the master?? haha j/k NGKs are in and much better. Throttle response is alot crisper than before. Also, about two days after I put in the Bosch plugs it threw the SES light. Unhooked the battery to clear it but it wouldn't. Put the NGks in, ran it down the road, came back and unhooked the battery, light went off. What would make the plugs throw the SES light??

I have had the NGK TR55s for the past 15K miles with out any problems.

I run the Bosch Platinum 4's and have no problem. Also, not having to gap them is a plus.

Bosch sucks ***. I installed the platinum 4 and I got misfire. I returned them and got the single tip platinum with the recommended .50 gap as again misfire. I tried 45 and 55 and I still got misfire. 10,000 mile and I'm still stuck with the factory plugs. I might have to give ngk a try.
