Security light problem

I have a 95 t/a and for the past couple of days my security light has been coming on for no apparent reason....a couple of times i haven't been able to start it because of it and other times it comes on when i start the car and stays on while i am driving it. I am sure there is no short in the wire unless i just can't see it....does anyone no of anything i can do?

likely its the key cylinder sensor that picks up on the chip in the key
mine does it intermittently all I do is wiggle the ignition key cylinder around

Yeah, the connections in my key cylinder would not work when they key was turned to the "ON" position. Either replace the key cylinder ($$$) or splice a resistor into the VATS line it connects to. You do not want to be somewhere when you can't start your car! Believe me, I was 75 miles away from my house when this happened to me!
