Annoying noises from car
Help!!! Annoying noises from car Does anyone else have these problems with their LT1????
I have a lot of little noises that are getting on my nerves....
1) The hatch rattles A LOT!!!! how the hell can i fix this..... messed with the rubber things on the end of the hatch and this doesnt seem to help!!!
2) When I crack open my drivers side window, it rattles!!! Only when its open less than half way....
3) My rear suspension feels like $hit... I've already put new shocks.... still feels the same!!! Dont think the springs are bad.... what can this be....
4) Does everybody's console make these crazy noises when they lay their arm on it....... SQUEAK > >>> SQUEAK.... is all I hear....

does everyones car make these noises or is it just mine.... Im starting to think that its only mine b/c everyone knows that the STREETS IN PASASDENA, TX SUCK!!!!!!!!!! Makes me want to move elsewhere!!!

YEP! Mine does all of the above except the center console squeak. The hatch always makes noise. My window will make it too but i have to either hit the window slightly up or down. Kinda to tighten up the tracks and it seems to keep the rattle away. The rearend could be the springs or just the bushings are worn out, time to go get en energy suspension rearend kit to try to tighten everything back up.

Mine has always made all kinds of noises but its funny how much worse they get after a year or so of 1.6x 60's.

hey man, yea F-bodies are nortorious for annoying noises. My hatch used to rattle bad, one thing that helped, there are two like rubber pads you can screw in or out on the hatch, open it up and youll see what im talking about, twist them out a little bit that should help.

Also I have recently noticed that it appears that the seatbelt on the passenger side or maybe the whole seat itself, or something from over there is shaking horribly making noises when hitting bumps.
The one I'd really like to get rid of is a metallic tinking sound I get that I can hear in the car and on the outside. It occurs when I hit an uneven area on the road, especially noticable if I'm driving on a brick road. Sounds like a small peice of metal tinking against another peice of metal and now the more I listen to it I think it's coming from like the front middle or maybe front right area.
It upsets me that I have all these noises because it makes me feel like I'm driving a powerful, great looking peice of turd.
My hatch still rattles.... BUT I managed to fix the window problem by taking off the door panel and tightening some of the bolts that hold the window, After putting some LCA;s not too many squeaks are coming from the chasis, have 4 new struts/springs, Ever since i bought my car its had DD SFC, and the console still squeaks but i have a 97+ aka LS1 style console that im gonna put in.....
