coolant loss Posted about a possible head gasket blown, basically i'm blowing white smoke in the mornings for a lot longer thane normal, and I'm losing coolant, but after finally accepting a blown head gasket I tore into it tonight and after some investigating I have no water in my oil. If it was a head gasket, cracked clock or head wouldn't I have water in the oil?

I checked it out and found no water, how can I tell if it's going into the cylinder? The smoke isn't constant just in the mornings for longer than normal it seems and sometimes a little after start up.
hmm... Is the gasket burned? When you replace the gasket, make sure you torque down the head properly.
If it leaked into the cylinder, it would burn like you describe. Nothing to worry about.
