replacing drivers door
He has power accessories on his current car/door. He needs to replace the door and found one with manual windows/locks. Is it going to be a major PITA to put the power stuff on the manual door?
Oh, well I don't know for sure. I know that some doors have rivets holding stuff together and it would be a royal pain to swap parts. It also depends on how big the openings are behind the door panel (in the skin). If there are rivets and springs holding stuff up (which there probably are) then that will be a hard job. Not impossible, but you might get fingers smashed. Your best bet would be to head to an auto shop and look at a service manual (and it'd probably be a good idea to get one if you don't have one anyways) and see if they have diagrams of the door. My first pick would be Haynes, and then Chiltons if they don't have the Haynes book.
