Default Time For A Tune Up

Hey Im changing the spark plugs in my 98 T/A because it hasnt been done for a while, im replacing them with NGK TR-55's cause that's what everyone on here said these cars like. but the engine compartment is kind of cramped on the passenger side, do you guys have any suggestions on how to get to them without tearing everything apart?? Also, what else would you guys recommend doing during a tune-up?? thanks.

Here is an install document that most newbies use...http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm if you can't do it following those directions you need to sell your car

The plugs may be hard to loosen the first time. You should put antisieze on them so the next time you have to change them they aren't so hard.

The drivers side has great access once you pop off the air pipe from the manifold. Passenger side was much tighter, but better than on my 89 Formula 350. Except for #8; had to get it from the bottom and it hurt.

In addition to the air pipe, also removed the front 3 coil packs on passenger side only (I have a 98 too). My plugs were so tight I had to use a 3/8 drive swivel tip breaker bar with a cheater pipe for extra leverage. All cracked loud when they finally loosened, I was surprised I didn't break any. However others have said theirs were not overly tight. Mine still had factory originals at 50k, and I have to say 100k plug life is massive BS.

It sucks you have a 98.. Cause on the 99 and up just yank the coil packs on the passanger sie and four more bolts to pull the valve cover right off and you got all the room in the world for a plug change... but you cant pull the valve cover easily casue you have the 98 perimeter style VC bolts.
