Check to see if the air deflector is still under the car. Had similar problems with mine when i bought it, after checking it had no air deflector under the car. Good luck with yours.

I once flushed the coolant out and when I refilled it, the car still overheated; it wasnt the water pump or thermostat.... Turned out to be a $5 RADIATOR CAP......

The air deflector is not under the car I believe my friend took it out for his cold air intake,

You think something like that will over heat the car? What about his fans not turning on, and the radator has been flushed twice all the way out.

I think the air deflector is the main reason it's overheating, but also: I have an electric water pump and 160* stat, but my car will slowly warm up (and I suppose eventually) overheat, if I have constant stop and go driving. I have yet to get LT1edit so I can, among other things, set the fans to turn on earlier. I think fans make a huge difference because once I get back up to speed the coolant goes right back down to 165.

Of course, now that I think about it maybe getting back up to speed just means the radiator is getting fed more air and thus chilling the coolant. Hmmm...

There is probably a fuse or relay for the fans check for either or both of those.

One way to do it is to pull the fuse for the air pump, that should trigger the ses lights and turn the fans on
