power steering annoyances

power steering annoyances it seems when ever I bring the wheel around towards the very limit of turning capability, you can easily hear the groan of the power steering pump. It's now been 2 years that I have had this car, and when I first bought it I would check the power steering fluid all the time, but it has never gone down. But there always seem to be some surrounding the cap, not a lot, it looks like it's evaporated. It's hard to explain. Does anyone else have any similar problems?
Also, how hard is dropping the tank for a fuel pump swap? How do you get the pipe that goes from the fill point to the tank out of there? Any help appreciated

ok here is a very odd way of changing your fluid that I did once with a grand am that had the exact same sound........... well i think it was the exact same sound you described... anyways.. got one of those pump sprays, you know the ones that come with general cleaners.. anyways stuck the bump in the tank and started pumping it out.. as the tank went empty we filled it back up w/ new fluied and repeated until it was clean.... no air this way.. after 3 times the noise I kid you not was gone.
