How to fix a chip in the windshield?

I was driving on the freeway and as I was passing a semi, a rock flew up and chipped my windshield. The spot is pretty big, but the window's not cracked. How do I go about fixing this chip?

Find one of those windshield repair guys on the side of the road. They charge like $20 and it will prevent the crack from spreading.

Or go to Vatozone and they sell a kit there to repair the chip. I've used it before and it does a good job.

I bought a kit from walmart. seemed to work well. you can still see the crack though. this is on my beater truck so I don't mind it much as long as it passes inspection. Oops it failed today, but they didn't mention the crack in the windshield. Too bad I guess I'm limited to only drive my z28

I have 2 very small cracks in my windshield, i need to fix them too. At inspection the guy said it will not always pass that way but he hooked me up thank god.
