dropping oil pressure My friend is having a problem with his 96 Z28. After driving for long periods of time, like a couple hours or so his oil pressure gradually drops and his car becomes slow and hesitant. He says its been happening for about a year. Hopefully someone here knows whats going on. Thanks
What PSI is the guage in the car reading, when COLD and when its up to temp (driven for a while) at idle. Also if you can when cruising.
Is it bottoming out to 0-5psi???
To given an example, my 383, with a high volume oil pump. With fresh oil 10w-30 mineral does 60 psi cold, and when ahot 26-28 (roughly). When I peg the gas at temp the psi goes to around 40.
Milage on the car???
