Default Damn Coolant Light

My coolant light won't turn off and curious on what the prob. would be. Obviously I've already filled it up and still is on after many start ups. I'm considering that there's a sensor in the coolant box and that its gone bad, right? Just curios if anyone else has had this problem and what they did. Thanks!

Unplug the sensor, the light will go away, just check your coolant level every now and then. It's in the passenger side radiator tank.

Why not just replace it?

IIRC, 01-02 LS1 F-Bodies didn't have the sensor, so if the factory gave up on them, why shouldn't you?
If you want, try cleaning the sensor, it pulls right out of the tank. A new one runs $30ish.

Exactly. They put it there for a reason, to let you know. Sensors go bad, just replace it.

Dex Cool is notorious for gumming up coolant sensors.
I would probably just ditch it.
