headlight motors gone crazy
headlight motors gone crazy Before I did my conversion my old motors used to strip... it bothered me but not enough to replace as i was planning on converting my car...
One thing I noticed was when I had my viper system installed anytime I armed or started my car (remote) my headlights went up and down and on a start they stayed up on a arm they popped up and when down...
after my conversion (neither motor stripped) they stayed down always which was preferred....
over the last couple of days my lights have been a pain to get to come up 2gether... probably cuz one is broken and a replacement is on the way... eitehr way last night the one that almost always comes up decided it wanted to start stripping.. right after that my lights started popping up and down again when using my remote. WTF is goign on..
I've heard the most common reason for the stripping is something elec. in the motor it's self. how is this fixed??? or what should I do?? That noise drives me nutz......

This worked for me, scroll down to "free fix" or you can purchase new brass gears. I chose the free fix for now.
