hood release cable grommet
hood release cable grommet my grommet is out, and i cant get it back into the firewall. no room for my big hands, and it has to be pushed from the inside of the car then screwed into the firewall. i made a homemade tool out of a old hallow plastic broom stick but it didnt work well. anyplace sell a tool for this? (holds the rectangle side of the grommet so it can be screwed in) or will i have to go to the dealer? if they overprice this little problem i might just put a napa grommet from the engine bay and silicone over it.
btw this is why my carpet was wet, during rain or washing my car, the water poured directly into the hole. gm engineers made the hole right at the base, if it was half an inch higher, i bet i would never have had water get into the car.
