Loud Noise When I Take My Foot Off Gas When i take my foot off the gas i hear a loud almost grinding or metal on metal rubbing sound. I was told by the previous owner the rear end was completely rebuilt less then a year ago with 4.10 gears. This doesnt happen at speeds less then 5mph. WHen you get up to 30-40mph its so loud I cant hear anything else. Any clues?

prolly a richmond 4.10 gear in there. they are prone to whining. i have one in mine, grinds and whines like no tomorrow, but it holds up fine with slicks and a 4000 stall. just take off the cover, and make sure all of the teeth are there, and there is no unusual wear. if you still can't find it, go to a differential shop and have them take a look or have them install a new, motive or strange gear.
