how bad is it to run without an air filter?

i was gonna head up to moroso and see what the car can run. Its bone stock , so i wanna run it once with the airfilter and once without. Can i hurt anything by taking off the lid and filter for 1 run?

I picked up 3 HP with no filter on the dyno. Not really worth it to me.

If it's stock it's useless. Better off putting a bag of ice on your intake & Airing down your tires a bit

it is very good to run with an air filter...it keeps dust and dirt out of your engine where it can do many bad things.....i would not run my car at all without it like Samba said only 3 horsepower, and thats not worth the risk

Yeah if you want to pick up those 3 little horseys just ice the intake, the air filter's there to protect your motor from pickin up crap and scratchin the cylinder walls.

I agree, but if your going to run a filter might as well spend the money on a good K&N filter if you don't have one already.

for 3 ponies, thats like taking off your shoes to race. Not worth it what if a duck ran across the track you would suck that mother right up in ur block.
