noise when i turn?
noise when i turn? i notice when i am turning there is a noise that is driviing me up the wall it is like a repitive noise, had anyone had something like this similiar happen, i checked the power steering fluid about a week ago and it was low so i added some but it seems to still make the noise, aslo there is another noise coming from the rear brakes when im goin slow its like a ticking noise i pulled out the pads to find that the metal piece on the outside pad came off so im wondering if its that that is making the noise becuase i didnt knw whether to take it off or what so i just left it back on there sitting, the pads are fine they still have alot of beef on them but should i just go ahead and change them to see if it helps?

sounds like the anti-rattle clips (from what you described). you may want to take them off and make sure they kind of snap into place on the caliper mount. Also, this might be a stretch but bear with me. Does that squeak noise from the brakes increase when wheel speed increases? I had an annoying sound like that and it turned out i had a bent axle and it was the rotor gyrating inside the pads. maybe a stretch but worth a shot. you can test it by lifting the back end of the car up and running it in gear. if that wheel won't really spin unless aided, then it could be the axle. (the posi sees resistance at that wheel cuz of the increased friction of the rotor gyrating in between the pads and transfers gets confused transfering the torque back and forth between the wheels).
as for the steering noise: is it a whining or is it a squeak when turning the wheel, like metal on a bushing that needs lube? i have a noise like htat only when the car is still and i turn the wheel. only happens sometimes though.
