AC Recharge Nozzle?

Re-Charge ac Any one know where the "Low Side" AC recarge nozles at on a 96 firebird?? My AC blows out at a cool 85 degrees. and I live is South West Florida.. I am at the point were I dont want to drive it... And will save taking it to a shop as a last option.....

Don't know the answer to this, but you might want to be more specific about your vehicle -- by 'Firebird' do you mean a V6 one?
If you don't get a response here, and can't find it yourself, a simple thing to try (they might not know, but might as well ask) would be to go to one of the various auto parts stores that sell refrigerant recharge kits (Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone, etc), tell them you weren't able to find it in the Haynes book, and see if they can show you where it is.

Even if you get a recharge kit if you dont know which one is the low side the connector will only fit the low side so I dont think you can go wrong. Ask someone at pepboys or autozone or whereever you buy the recharge kit.
The low side will be from the expansion valve, into the car and the eveaperator and then out to the compressor. The high side will be from the compressor to the condensor in front of the car until it reaches the expansion valve. If that sounds confusing, check a site like:

Once you understand the basics it will help you on any system as they all have the same basic parts. Car, house, refridgerator, all the same.
Is it a V6 or LT1? If you find a picture, I can tell if it's the right one or not.
