Sounds like this might be your issue
"A ping, snap or click that is heard as the transmission is placed in gear or the suspension is loaded."
Possibilities:
- The pinion yoke is loose. Tighten the bolts and the pinion nut to the specified torque.
- One or more of the universal joints are worn or damaged. Replace the universal joint.

Had my car looked at today by the dealer shop. They found that my right rear wheel has some "play" in it and they are ripping it apart to fix it. Not sure offhand exactly what it is but they said it'll be covered under warranty! w00t

I'm pretty sure it is the rear axle bearings. 100k on my car and I will be replacing both axles, axle bearings, axle seals, and c-clips. I'm pretty sure the differential, ring, pinion and center section bearing probably are pretty worn as well, but I'm not touching them.
The axles usually get ate up when the bearings go. I'm using Superior Axles for alot less than Mosers or GM. When I get them in I will let you know if the clicking and scraping noises from the rear wheels is gone.

It's tough to diagnose the problem as I only get the noises when the car is rolling on the ground. The c-cip axles move in and out a bit by design. My wheels only have a tad of up and down movement, but you can hear more banging back there over a series of small bumps and the clicking noises come and go. They get louder the harder I drive the car.

the torsen sound is like a bucket of marbles being shaken and comes from under the rear seat. Axle bearing sound is very uniform, like one click or scrape for every wheel rotation 3ft, and come from the out the left or right window towards the rear.
