AC doesn't work

AC doesn't work At first the AC worked, but wasn't near as cold as it should be. I put a can of freon in and now it's worse. The compressor turns on, then turns off right away. Talked to someone and he said maybe it needs a new orifice tube. No idea what step to take next.

Have you got gauges to put on it? If you do and can post the numbers before and while running you will have 90% of your diagnosis. Depending on how much refrigerant was in there before you added any you could definitely make it worse.
If the compressor is trying to pump against a complete blockage it will turn of again when the high pressure switch triggers. One possible reason would in fact be a blocked orifice tube.

It sounds like your clutch on the compress... My 99 z28 is in the shop now because of the same thing your talkin about. The compress would come on then go off... Went to oreilly and bought a remafac system for 320 bucks.
