When ever i put my alarm on or turn it off, the headlight pops up then goes back down. It just started doing this like 2 nights ago. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I already tried doing a search and i couldn't find anything, let me know if you do. Thanks

ok i just noticed that my passenger side headlight wont go up when i put on my headlights. I'm hoping its just the plastic piece that eventually breaks on pop up headlights, because the person i bought the car from had this happen to the other side and bought 2 metal pieces for both sides. You think the whole headlight poping up when i turn on the alarm could have been a warning that my other light wasn't coming up? I sure as hell hope so, or i have another problem
With school starting and nothing being paid for yet, this will be interesting.

Turn your light up by putting the parking lights on.
Remove the headlight shroud. (3) screws
Remove the motor arm from the motor
Remove the bolts holding the motor in place. (The back bolt is a b#%&@).
Remove the motor.
Using a screw driver or a prying tool, carfully remove the cover, be careful not to crack the cover. (the cover is glued on)
Take out the gear and rotate it 90 degress either way, and put the gear back in the motor
Glue the cover back on,
Let the glue dry
Install the motor back in
INstall the motor arm
Put the shroud back on
check it out, see if its working properly
Wash your hands
Kick back on the couch with a beer in your left hand, and a blunt in your right hand and call it a day.
(Materials 1.50 for glue)
(Labor u did ur self)
(time 1/2 hour includes dry time)

Ok well i went to put in the metal gear in this morning and i followed the video that was on the guys website were you get the metal gears from. I got to the part were i was about to move the headlight assembly out of the way to get to the motor and i realized i didn't have the right tool to get it off, so i was pissed. I could see the gear and i noticed it sure looked like the metal one and i realized that the guy who sold me the car told me he already fixed the passenger side not the drivers side like i thought yesterday. Well i was going to take it to Icon Autosports to see if Mike could fix it and as i put the headlight assembly back together i tried lifting and closing them again. Miraculously the headlight now works. I dont know how it happened but it goes up and down now everytime, and when i turn on the alarm, the drivers side headlight doesn't come up anymore. Thank God Thank you for all the information you guys gave me.
