Help Diagnose vibration problem

Help Diagnose problem This has happened 3 times so far:
-Basically what happens, is I am showing people the snap of my car, when I punch it in 1st gear at about 4000 RPM, I break the tires loose and the cars starts spinning then making a violent banging feel and noise, all the change in my ashtray goes crazy. Why is it doing this and not just spinning away? Do I have something wrong?????

I think when your tires break loose, your RPM's jump up to the red line and the rev limiter is cutting you back but you keep it floored and it keeps cutting you back. try letting up on the gas when it breaks loose and watch the gauge to make sure you keep it out of the red.

It's not the y-Pipe, I just had that put on. There would be an exhaust leak if the y-pipe was busted.

if it shakes the whole car, then its wheel hop. but if its just banging then as others said it your ypipe...
to address wheel hop i would recomend 2 upgrades.

You know... oddly enough.. I get a similar problem... but my problem only happens after the car has been driven/warmed up for a bit.... and I only get the vibration at about 600 rpms...
It's definately coming from the back, cause the vibration sounds like its making the rear hatch echo... real odd..
I'm not sure if I should take it to the dealership or not... I'm under a full warranty.. It's getting real old real fast.. I have an 01' Trans Am.
