Default Head Liner

Has anyone ever replaced their head liner? Mine just started to sag and I dont want to put those pins in the roof so it looks like a dam quilt.

Headliner Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the lift-off windows from the roof panel, if equipped.
2. Open the rear compartment lift window.
3. Remove the sunshade.
4. Remove the dome lamp housing.
5. Remove the upper garnish molding from the windshield pillar.
6. Remove the cargo area trim panel.
7. Loosen the seat belt escutcheons.
8. Slide the seat belt downward.
9. Remove the retainers (1) from the headliner panel (2).
10. Pull on the headliner panel (2) in order to remove the panel from the roof panel.
11. Slide the seat belt through the seat belt slots (3).
12. Remove the headliner panel (2) from the vehicle through the opening in the rear compartment lift window.

Installation Procedure

Important: The headlining panel is partially held in place with headlining panel tape or 2-color matched retainers with lift-off windows. The headlining panel is completely held in place when the following components are installed:
- The interior moldings
- The sunshade
- The dome lamp housing

1. Peel the backing from the new headliner panel tape. Apply the tape to the depressions in the roof panel.
2. Place the headliner panel (2) in the vehicle through the opening in the rear compartment lift window.
3. Insert the seat belt into the seat belt slots (3).
4. Pull the dome lamp electrical connector through the opening.
5. Apply pressure at the centerline of the headliner panel (2) in order to engage the tape.
6. Install the retainer (1) to the headliner panel (2).
7. Slide the seat belt escutcheons up the seat belt.
8. Snap the escutcheons into the retractor.
9. Install the cargo area trim panel.
10. Install the upper garnish molding to the windshield pillar.
11. Install the dome lamp housing.
12. Install the sunshade.
13. Close the rear compartment window.
14. Install the lift-off windows to the roof panel, if equipped.
