I concur with everyone else who has used nothing but M1. I started using it exclusively in 91 when I bought my 91 SHO. When it hit 60k I had the mechanic check the lifter clearances to see if they needed shimming (recommended every 60k on that engine -- Yamaha built 3.0L DOHC V-6...best move Ford ever made). The mechanic said all lifters and cam lobes showed "0" wear, all cylinders compression checked within 1% of each other and the top end looked like a new engine...absolutely no sludge or build-up. That's all the proof I needed and I haven't used dino oil since.

so 6 quarts of the German Castrol 0w-30 (which is synthetic) with the regular filter seems to sound like the winning oil of this thread....just in case some of you were as lost as I was hearing all these random opinions
German castrol (synthetic) 0w-30 >>> Mobil 1 5w-40 (synthetic) seems to be the winning vote
German castrol (synthetic) 0w-30 >>> Mobil 1 5w-40 (synthetic) seems to be the winning vote
