Default Firebird turn signal replacement.

My uncle has a 98 firebird and his front turn signal went out. Well Ive never owned one or worked on one and Ill be damned if its in the owners manual, thanks GM. Anyway how do you go about replacing it? I dont want to just start tugging on everything.

sounds like if you were able to post, figure it out, replace it, then come back and post in a matter of 3 hours, you had no business posting in the first place, because you didnt search it yourself.

Please excuse my taking over this thread, but...

My passenger side DRL/turn signal doesn't work. The socket is badly corroded. I have read that this is a common problem with F-bodies. My question is, what is the best solution? Is there a place that sells new sockets or am I better off fabricating something? I've tried scraping it with a screwdriver and spraying it with some anti-rust/dirt/corrosion cleaning spray, but to no avail. I would go to a junkyard and try to find one, but I don't know how much better those would be.

I didnt check it myself I because I was told that 5 people had checked it out and noone could figure out so I assumed they were compitant people and figured I would arm myself before I started. Well noone replied so I went looking and found out everyone was a bunch of dumbasses and it was fairly easy. Thats the last time I listen to anyone about how difficult something is.

first of all there are access covers underneath the car on both sides, there are 1 or 2 bolts, remove them and flip the flap down. If the lens is cracked like alot of people get, pull the lens out (2 screws) and there are a few ways to go

1) fill the crack with super glue
2) fill the crack with clear silicone
3) Use a clear adhesive film
4) buy a new lens (In the future turn your car off while in a car wash)

take a small fine to clean the connections in the light socket, and put some di electric grease in the socket before new bulb goes in.
