whirring sound

I got a 93 Trans Am and whenever I turn real sharp and slow I get this strange whirring like sound. Anyone know what it is? It sounds more towards the rear of the car.

sound like a power steering pump, may not be tho since you say its coming from the rear. could also be a posi unit. check your PS fluid level, it may be low. if not, pull the rear cover, check everything out, and if all it looks ok, just refill with the proper lubricants.

Thanks but I would recognize power steering whine. This noise kinda sounds like rubber bushings or something car has 155,000 miles on it.

Could be the differential. How long since you changed the grease? Are you hard on it? Could be getting worn.

lube the bushings on the rear suspension pieces i guess.
