bad sound in first gear

Im not sure if this is in the right forum, if not feel free to move it no problemo

When I stomp on the gas in first gear I get a very bad sound, that i can actually FEEL right below me. At first we thought it was the tranny mount, nope. Then checked the driveshaft, nope. Anyone got any ideas to what the hell it might be, its quite loud and definitely NOT normal. It also happens a little in second if i really nail it and when im in the high RPMs I get pretty bad vibrations... HELP!

Maybe the exhaust hitting the floor when large amounts of torque are applied? Is the Y-pipe or headers really close to the floorpan? Maybe as the motor mounts are aging they are not able to hold the twisting force of the torque as well hence the issue just developing now?

well I looked at the Y pipe when I was under there and I didnt see any real significant scraping or anything, I dont know of a foolproof way to check for that?

My y-pipe actually rubbed on my drive shaft. And there were no marks on the drive shaft and only a slight mark on y-pipe. And it made a god awful noise i dont want to hear again.

Got in there tonite and replaced the TA mount.... not the problem. Almost POSITIVE y pipe/headers/any exhaust is NOT the problem, you would know if you rode in the car. Im running out of ideas!! HELP!!

Could be the bearings at the input or output side of the trans. Try draining the fluid and see what comes out. Check the color. Do you feel it in the shifter with your hand on it?
