Default Cricket-like chirping from engine, increases with RPM (drivebelt maybe?)

Ive got some squeeking cricket chirp like sound continuously coming from the engine that just started a few days ago. The sound increases with RPMS and is even present at idle...my guess would be the drivebelt. What would be a good way to diagnose the problem? Thanks for any help!

Spray some lithium grease on the inner side of the belts and it should go away.

My altenator had a light squeak in it before I got it rebuilt....the bearings were going out. Could be a belt as well.

Might be the idler pulley

That's what mine was, only it sounded more like baby birds under my hood and was only present at idle and very light throttle. I had changed the belt to cure the problem and it was fine for about a year, then the same noise came back, changed the pulley and took care of it.
