storing car in the winter?
so its almost that time to put away my SS so i was just wondering who all stores theres..and i hear alot of diffrent things from people. some say i shuold have a full tank and i should disconnect the battery and just not touch it for the winter others say to go out and start it so offten . so i was just wondering. Just park it...It'll be fine.
and go turn it on every now and then just to hear it run. Might roll it forward or back a hair to help the tires out from sitting in one spot for so long. I'll unhook the battery and put it on a trickle charger over the winter, along with my mower battery. And I'll put in some Sta-Bil and fill the tank. It'll only be off the road for about four months or so.
My main concerns are drivers that become bumper car idiots in the snow, getting stuck myself, and that Mother of All Car Killers - salt rust.

put stabil in the tank, fill it up all the way and drive it around for 20 minutes, so the stabil gets all the way to the injectors
wash it, cover it with the car cover
i even go as far to put the car up on jack stands to let the suspension rest (sitting for a long time in one spot isn't that great for 'em) plus it keeps the tires from flat spotting
leave the battery connected but start the car every month or so and let it warm up to temp
do this with both of my cars, never have had a problem
