floor boards soaked last night it rained here in florida pretty badly on my way home from class. but this morning when i sat in my car i heard a squisshing sound from under my driver side mat by the gas peddels. how in the hell did water get in there. it was soaked, when i pulled the carpet and padding up i could squeeze water from them. has anyone else experienced this.
I noticed that right smack dab in the middel of the puddle there was a rubber plug that went through to the body and if you took the plug out you can see through the floorboard to the carpet. could this be the problem? should i put silicone around the plug? any ideas of how this could have happened would really help.
