Exclamation Oil Pressure and Temp. readings

I'm not sure if i remember this correctly, but i believe my oil pressure used to be right on 30, dead center in the middle of the 2 markers. I've noticed that it might have dropped a bit. The needle kind of shakes where its at in the pic, and i dont think because its loose. Also, the temperature gauge now moves up over the 210 marker, when it always used to sit just under 210. This is my daily driver, and it been like this through one oil change already. No mods besides whats in the signature. Fluid levels are fine, and i haven't noticed any problems. I just want to know if this is normal, or should i be concerned. Theres about 53k miles on it right now.

This is my reading at idle in drive with the brake on, after the engine warms up daily. Thanks

Well if it's truly idling at 600rpms that's why your oil pressure is down. As far as the temp. I don't know. If my car drops down past 800rpms the oil pressure drops significantly with the rpms after that.

when I get on the gas and floor it, my oil pressure rises, otherwise, its usually at the same leve as yours. My temp is usually in that area too.

this is an A4 car, and the idle with the gear in drive and the brake on. it goes up to around 800 in neutral or park.

but i've never noticed my temp going past 210 at all until recently. I thought the temp gauges weren't very good at reporting accurately anyway. What gives?

Time to do some diagnostics. It could be so many things. Are your cooling fans working? Have you noticed more coolent or oil consumption? Are there any new engine noises?

The temperature gauges are crap. The ones in the 93-98s were better they were linear. Now the sensor just reads, cold, normal and too hot. Unless your gauge is in the red I'm not sure I'd be too concerned. As for the oil pressure, I don't think mine has ever read that low?

you may want to check your thermostat mine went out at about 80k miles. While you are probably not due for that for a while (w/ only 53k miles) better safe than sorry

hmmm, i'm going to try replacing the thermostat first then. Everything else has been normal as far as fluid consumption. No new engine noises either...
