sound of air leaking
sound of air leaking For around 3 weeks my ses light has been coming on, i got the code read and its running lean, now 2 nights ago i got out my car to open the garage and i hear a hissing noise coming from under the hood, sounds like air leaking and now every time the car is running i hear this noise. Could there be a small hole on one of the hoses in my air system or what else could this be? Also is it safe to drive this way because this is my daily driver?
If it's that audible then a piece of cardboard tube,
vacuum hose, etc. used as a stethoscope should
be able to pinpoint it.
Offhand I'd suspect the PCV hoses, to affect mixture
you have to be past the MAF. Have you been messing
around the throttle body area, any?
