I'm sure one these guys who are dealers will be more than willing to ship it to you. Or order from amsoil.com you might pay a little more for shipping though. It will definatly help quiet the motor down using the 5W40. The LS1 seems to like 40wt oils better. The 30wt oils are just too thin.

I use 15w-50 racing oil in my 408. Great oil pressure and it helps quiet down the huge solid roller!

My Uncle is a Master Diesel mechanic of 30+ years. He has run Amsoil in all his personal vehicles and swears by it. I've run it in my LS1 and I am confident in it. Just be sure to buy the correct oil filter as well.

I have been using Royal Purple for the past 2 years and well, ..... i think its a few bucks cheaper. I also heard that they use some type of METAL additive... which is used as a spacer, anyone heard of it. ???

I think Royal Purple may be rated higher then Amsoil. I'm using Amsoil because of the availability. I'm sure they're both an excellent choice.

i also switched from Mobil 1 to Amsoil, same weight, 5w-30, and also noticed it quieted the engine slightly. that was a nice surprise as the Amsoil is about the same price as the Mobil 1...I'm sticking with Amsoil.
