Fan Fuses Keep Blowing
My car almost overheated today in traffic. Come to find out the fan fuse was blown so I put another 20amp in to replace it. I turned the car on and the fan didnt come on (are they supposed to?) When I turned It off I heard the fused blow. What could be the Problem. I heard It might have something to do with the air pump. I have no cats And it used to come on all the time now it doesnt. What is wrong? Anyone know?

I don't know how the LT1s are set up for fans but
check that they both spin freely when the engine
is off. A locked or sticky rotor will make an electric
motor draw maximum current.

Get a multimeter and a wiring diagram, and find out how many amps your pulling.
Usually your public library will have Mitchell or Motor factory service manuals, so make a copy of the fan circuit.
I bet you have a bad fan motor or wiring problem. Good weekend project.
